With wide open skies, sweeping views, and the quiet charm of a working family farm, our venue blends natural beauty with laid-back elegance—just 20 minutes north of Bonners Ferry.

Whether you're saying “I do” under a golden sunset, dancing the night away beneath the stars, or throwing a good old-fashioned hoedown, this is the kind of place where moments turn into memories—and the scenery’s not too bad either.

Who we are

Hey there—we’re Carson and Madison Morter! Proud owners of The Barn at Morter Farms, full-time farmers (well, Carson is), full-time parents (yep, Madison too), and part-time miracle workers when it comes to pulling off unforgettable events.

Carson keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes at Morter Farms, which has been rooted in the Kootenai Valley since 1992. Madison is your go-to host—ready with a smile, a plan, and probably a toddler on her hip. We’re raising our three kids—Lyla (3), and our twin boys, Jackson and Callum (1)—right here on the land, just a stone’s throw from the barn.

We’re passionate about faith, family, and creating a place where people can gather, celebrate, and make memories that last a lifetime. Whether you're planning a wedding, reunion, or your grandma’s 80th birthday bash (she deserves it), we’d be honored to help bring your vision to life.
